Okay so you know that situation where someone, to be direct, drops the bomb of Information on you? Or you discover something that you weren’t suppose to? I’m sure we’ve all been there.. and within approximately 2-5 seconds after our brain has registered and re- registered what has just happened, you just sit their, still and in silence, feeling nothing when you should be feeling angry, disappointment, frustration, betrayed, distressed (Not necessary in that order) Within the next minute that passes you can’t help but think, wow i am such a heartless bitch, why isn’t this affecting me? Do i not care? Well my dear people of the world you are wrong. These symptoms are most commonly experienced by those experiencing shock, yes i said it, s h o c k. Other symptoms include; feeling temporarily stunned and confused and breaking out into a sweat and it may take minutes, hours or for me i know it takes days but eventually we come to our senses and are able to assess the true extend of the damage. We must all be easy with ourselves because whilst we may all like to think we are in control of our lives, there are somethings we can not. The next time somethings along these lines happens to you, be easy on yourself and allow yourself time to register and decide what such events mean to you and how they affect you. Then act accordingly and Remember:
P r i d e is s h i t, it counts for nothing.
